How Server Nanny Works
Server Nanny™ consists of two parts: the monitoring engine and the management console.
The Server Nanny monitoring engine is a Windows service that constantly runs configured monitors, sends notifications, and performs corrective actions when problems are discovered. The monitoring engine is the heart of Server Nanny.
The Server Nanny management console is a Windows application that is used to configure and view status information collected by the monitoring engine. The management console can access monitoring engine instances that are located on the local machine as well as across the network. It even works across the internet and supports SSL encryption.
